About Us

Whether you receive SNAP or participate in other programs that help you stretch your family’s resources or you are an agency or school who works with SNAP participants, SNAP Education is for you. SNAP Ed helps families and individuals eat better for less. Topics include cooking, meal planning, shopping for nutritious food on a budget, food safety, weight control, physical activity, and much more. Our classes are FREE for to all individuals who qualify for benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Classes meet at Cooperative Extension and other places in the community like food pantries, senior centers, or schools in the 4-county Region including: Oneida, Oswego, Herkimer and Hamilton.

In addition. SNAP Education participates in policies, Systems and Environmental (PSE) strategies that impact communities. These strategies include community and school gardens, as well as nourish your neighbor food drives.
